Numeracy: Teaching basic numeracy to children with Down syndrome and other learning dificulties using the Numicon approach

Venue: The Pamela Sunter Centre, 2 Whitley Street, Bingley.
There is a car park to the rear of the building but if this is full, there is parking available on nearby streets but please check the parking restrictions. We are a short walk from Bingley train station.
The course will cover how we learn to count, the challenges faced by children with Down syndrome and other learning disabilities and basic number skills up to 10. It will introduce the Numicon Foundation Kit and include practical activities and suggestions to promote numeracy. It is relevant for staff and parents working with children aged birth upwards who are still working with numbers up to 10.
