It is vitally important that all adults working with a child with Down syndrome understands their learning needs and how to meet these needs. All teaching staff are welcome to join our Introduction to Down syndrome course for FREE. It will run at the beginning of each term. To enhance your practice further we suggest staff working closely with the child are also trained in signing, using visuals to support language development and teaching basic number skills. Each term these additional three courses will follow on from the Introduction to Down syndrome course over several weeks. The cost of these additional courses is usually £200. If you book all three together the cost is reduced to £150. Introduction to Down syndrome - 20th Sept, 9.30 to 12.30 Signing & Down syndrome - 27th Sept & 4th Oct, 9.30 to 11.30 Let's make it visual - 11th Oct, 9.30 to 12.30 Teaching basic number skills - 18th Oct, 9.30 to 12.30 In addition you will be able to book one other course of your choice and receive 50% : Reading Language Intervention ME: my body, my friends, my life Beyond 10 time and money Expectations of behaviour Your 50% off voucher code will be sent to you upon booking the above training package.
