All courses are divided into several one hour online sessions. Topics covered are: -Introduction to Down syndrome (2 sessions + 1 consultation) -Signing and Down syndrome (3 sessions + 1 consultation) -Teaching basic number skills to children with Down syndrome and other learning difficulties using the Numicon approach (2 sessions + 1 consultation) -Teaching number skills beyond 10, time & money (2 sessions + 1 consultation) -Let’s make it visual - using visual resources to teach speech, language, communication and literacy (2 sessions + 1 consultation) -Reading, Language Intervention (RLI) for children with Down syndrome (5 sessions + 1 consultation) Each topic will be followed with an online consultation for participants. In total 22 sessions spread over the first 2 terms. Sessions will be every Wednesday, 10am to 11am. Starting Wednesday 17th September 2025. COST OF COURSES This form allows you to book the whole 22 weeks at a cost of £80. Resources are available to download from our website to support the majority of the courses and these resources will be offered at a reduced rate of 50% to all participants.
