ANNUAL REPORT
1st June 2024 to
31st May 2025
This report covers all of the training, services and fundraising activities over the year; how the staff, the Pamela Sunter Centre and services have been funded and feedback from the many families and professionals who have benefitted.
It has several purposes: feedback to our members, feedback to our funders, especially the National Lottery whose five year grant ceased in March, and feedback to ourselves. It helps us to reflect on what we have achieved and the direction we need to steer over the coming year. In addition a summary of the report is published on the Charity Commission website.

Early Development Groups Report
Feedback from our families
'My child hugely benefits as both her and I are being educated on the best ways to help her learn. She has learnt how to count to ten and also to identify words. She is beginning to learn to read.'
'She will start mainstream primary school in a position which is not too dissimilar to other students in her class, as she is able to identify certain words, letters and numbers as well as make a number of speech sounds. These are not things which I believe she would be able to do had we not attended the sessions.'

Training Report
Feedback on our Introduction to Down syndrome course and our Signing and Down syndrome course.
'Fantastic course, it was really useful. I have left feeling more confident about working with students with Down syndrome.'
'One of the best training sessions I've attended. Very informative and with lots of practical ideas.'
'Really knowledgeable trainer, lots of practice and suggestions to remember signs.'

ADULT SERVICES REPORT
What our young people think about what we do. This report gathers feedback directly from our young people on our WisH Club, Going Out Club, Dance21, I Can Work, Speech & Language, Independent Living, Gym Club and travel training.
'She gets to really practise and secure her understanding of social boundaries which us something she still gets wrong at school sometimes. I think the staff really knows how to make it accessible for our kids and how to get it right. Lots of reinforcement. Wonderful really.'
